This course will contain digital storytelling resources for your use.

e-Portfolios will enable you to create and manage your own assessment folder.  It will be exciting, challenging and a fantastic journey. 

You will find the three karakia that you will use each day.  This folder contains our karakia for the start of the day; our lunch (kai) karakia, and our karakia to end the day. 

I am confident and excited about starting my day. 

Here you will be able to access online punctuation and grammar exercises that you can do independently.

Chat Discussions are the same as a Discussion Board in our wikispace EXCEPT you can communicate in real-time synchronous discussion via the internet.  There will be times where a key question will be posed in your reading groups or an issue raised for homework that will require you to share your opinion.  You will be advised of the date and time when you need to communicate.  These times are likely to be set outside of school hours.

This folder will provide your weekly reading instructions.  Each reading group will have a folder that you will have access to at school and home.  All your reading material will be referenced so you can access it in the classroom.  All task related activities will be in your group folder.  You will be required to conference with me once a week and work diligently through the week critically thinking, creating, synthesising and evaluating what you have read and produced.  The chat forum will give you an opportunity to discuss your views and share your opinions with others in your group.

Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.  Earl Nightingale

This is where you will find your weekly homework tasks.  My initiative behind setting you homework tasks is to develop your ICT confidence and skills; discuss issues; research issues; establish routines and habits that will assit you on your learning journey at High School.
