INTER-SCHOOL  SPORTS DATES FOR TERM 2 2009:   Melville Intermediate will be sending teams to the following inter-school sports events: Soccer 13th May TIC (Teacher in Charge) Mr Jeffrey; Girls Rugby 26th May TIC Mr Webb; Hockey 2nd June TIC Mrs Bassett; Netball 9th June TIC Whaea Haylee and Boys' rugby Mr Webb.

WINTER OLYMPICS - In term 2 during Week 8 (June 15-19th) MIS will be sending a squad to the annual Totara Springs Winter Olympics sports tournament. Last year MIS had its best ever sporting successes there.  Further information check out the Totara Springs website or see Mr Shane Day for any queries.

 NETBALL - Melville Intermedaite has five netball teams for the 2009 season. The trials were really exciting and it was a very hard task for the selectors. to get the teams finalised.  However, there are 3 Year 8 teams and 2 Year 7 teams. Thanks to those ladies who are taking on the arduous task of coaches and managers.  Any queries about the netball please contact Whaea Haylee who is the netball co-ordinator.   First round of netball starts on Saturday May the 2nd at Minogue Netball Courts.  The draw will be displayed on Room 2's window each week, so check it out OR you can log on to the Hamilton City Netball website at www.sportingpluse.com

NETBALL - Grading games starts this Saturday, 2nd May.  Each week results will be tabulated for viewing so watch this space!
